Base Camp
The centre for operations is a covered campfire area with seating surrounded by accommodation and an outdoor kitchen. Ideal for planning the days' events, briefings and relaxing after arduous activities, recounting anecdotes with a nice brew.
Accommodation
Two yurts, a straw bale house, a round house, a bunk house and tipi provide an authentic outdoor living experience for up to 35 people. Additional two- and three-man tents are available if required.
Catering
The campfire, barbeques and wood-burning oven provide enough space to cook for large groups, with food preparation areas by the fires, or in the large open dining room. Crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots and pans are provided.
Hygiene
Base camp is fully equipped with composting toilets, hand wash facilities, shower and kitchen sink, all with running mains water warmed by a wood-burning oven, and solar energy.
Sustainability
For both economy and education purposes we have an eco-composting shower, solar lighting, wood burner oven & hot water system, vegetable & herb growing area and a chicken shed.
