"The benefits of coming to Bods are shown through the lives we have impacted"
Bods’ work with disadvantaged young people is set firmly in the context of social, economic and environmental sustainability. Activities build up an understanding of and respect for our natural environment, its biodiversity and its limited resources.
Our plans are to continue to challenge the way young people view their world. We want to help them re-connect with their environment so that they can become participating members of their local communities.
The work of Bods has had a profound effect on many of the young people who have had access to its activities, as they have re-engaged with education and employment and joined the volunteer scheme. Through the volunteer scheme a number return to assist the team through peer-led youth work, having significant impact on the next generation. Two of our young people have developed sufficiently to embark upon full-time youth work training and are employed at Bods.
